About me

Russ McDaniel is President of Medical Construction Group (MCG), where he brings more than 35 years of leadership across design-build and complex construction delivery. He is also the Founder and President of RMSPM, Inc., providing program, project, and construction management support to public and private sector clients with a hands-on, owner-aligned approach.

Russ has led projects from the earliest stages of development entitlements, due diligence, budgeting, estimating, and value engineering, through execution and closeout. He is known for turning project goals into clear, executable plans, giving stakeholders real-time visibility into scope, schedule, cost, and risk so decisions are made early and surprises are minimized.

At MCG, Russ focuses that experience specifically on healthcare environments, guiding teams through the coordination, compliance considerations, and operational requirements that impact medical facilities. His leadership centers on accountability, disciplined project controls, and a high-touch client experience designed to protect capital and accelerate openings.

Russ launched RMSCM, LLC in 2008, which later evolved into RMSPM, Inc., expanding his ability to support clients with comprehensive management services. Earlier, in 2000, he founded The RMS Group, Inc., a Southern California general contracting firm delivering entertainment, hospitality, medical, multi-family, and retail projects. After scaling the company, he sold it to a select leadership group while retaining ownership of RMSCM and RMSPM. He began his entrepreneurial career in 1995 as a co-founder of Tectonics Construction, Inc., and previously spent more than five years with Turner Construction Company in project management, engineering, field supervision, marketing, and estimating.

Russ’s project experience spans major high-rise development, studio and theatre renovations, post-production facilities, corporate interiors, and high-tech specialty environments, with project values ranging from approximately $450,000 to more than $300 million. Today, he leads MCG with the same principles that have defined his career: strategic insight, operational rigor, and client-first execution.
