Abel Varughese
Abel Varughese is a Senior Project Manager at Medical Construction Group (MCG) with more than 10 years of experience delivering complex commercial development and construction projects. He is recognized for disciplined leadership, strong technical judgment, and a steady ability to guide owners and project teams from early feasibility and entitlement planning through closeout and operational readiness.
Abel’s work spans site evaluation and feasibility, entitlement and permitting strategy, budgeting, scheduling, and end-to-end oversight of consultants and contractors. He leads program and design reviews, manages government approvals, and drives contractor procurement through bid packaging, competitive bidding, and negotiation. During construction, Abel maintains an active field presence while managing quality, cost controls, schedule performance, and risk mitigation. He also supports FF&E coordination and move-management planning to help ensure efficient turnovers for clients.
Before joining RMS Project Management (RMSPM), Abel served as an Owner’s Representative Project Manager at Sharpe Project Developments in Fort Lauderdale, overseeing ground-up development and tenant improvements with a focus on schedule adherence, budget performance, and alignment with client intent. He also spent nearly a decade with ANF Group, Inc., progressing from Project Engineer to Project Manager and leading projects valued up to $62 million. In that role, he developed scopes of work, executed subcontractor buyouts, led OAC meetings, prepared detailed pay applications, and managed project reporting and analytics. His technical experience includes BIM coordination, MEPF systems oversight, document control, and mentoring project engineers—reflecting a commitment to both rigor and team development.
